How much does chimney cleaning cost?

A cleaning appointment concerns removal of deposits. An inspection concerns the condition of the system and can have a different scope. Ask whether these are bundled or separately priced. If camera work or an expanded inspection is recommended, ask how it changes the appointment and cost.

- Write down the same property information for both providers.
- Ask each to specify what is included and excluded.
- Compare the inspection scope and any proposed repair areas.
- Ask how changes will be approved if new information comes to light.
- Keep the written estimate and agree on the scope before work begins.
